The martial arts instill discipline and offer an opportunity for intense physical activity. Have you ever considered learning judo? Carrick’s own South Hills Judo Club is holding a free open house on Monday, October 29 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for World Judo Day. Come learn about judo, participate in (or watch!) a free class, and enter a raffle to win one month of free tuition! If you’d like to participate in the free class on October 29, please come wearing comfortable sweatpants and a t-shirt.
Founded by the Father of Pittsburgh Judo Nick Zaffuto, the South Hills Judo Club is one of the oldest clubs in Pittsburgh and has produced many talented players, including several national international elite players like 1996 Olympian Dr. Marisa Pedulla. Call 412.882.3600 or 412.689.6337 for more details, or visit their Facebook page.
