A special Fire Prevention Program will be presented by Floyd McCrea of the Pittsburgh Fire Bureau at the next Carrick Community Council (CCC) meeting on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium of Pittsburgh Concord Elementary School in Carrick at 2350 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15210. The program is free and open to the public to learn about acquiring smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and emergency planning at this critical time of the year for fires. Also, detectives from the anti graffiti task force from the City of Pittsburgh will be present to address the recent surge of graffiti in Carrick and how to handle it if you are a victim of this vandalism. Residents, business owners and rental property owners are urged to attend.
