SAVE THE DATE!
Call for Volunteers.  It's that time of year again, to make our neighborhood clean from the winter litter.  This is the perfect chance to find the trash that gets blown into tight spaces while the trees are still bare. Many of you have been with us year after year and your support is our life line. It is important that every volunteer know that they are valued, and what matters you matters to us.  We are asking for your help again because each year we have made a huge impact and it shows, with your continued support we will change the face of Carrick by reducing and eradicating litter. We have areas that are level and easy to clean if you have mobility limitations.  We also need volunteers to man the sign in booth which is a no stress job where sitting is welcome.  The Litter Patrol is flexible to your needs.
Don't forget!

Where: The Carrick Shopping Center 2118 Brownsville Rd.
(meet in the back by Auntie Lisa's Storage Units)

When: Saturday, April 16th 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
in conjunction with Earth Day (April 22nd) and the City's Redd-up program.

Trash Bags, gloves and bottle water will be provided.  Wear comfortable clothes, shoes, and sun screen.

We ask that everyone WEAR A GREEN SHIRT. Any color of green, any style of shirt.  This is a way to let the community know we area team, using a hands on approach, unified in improving the litter problem.
Carrick is going green!

This is a Community Event, everyone is welcome and needed to
help make our neighborhood clean and safe.  Anyone can help!  Let's Pick It Up Carrick!   Trash and litter ruin property values and lower the quality of life for everyone.  Litter is EVERYONE'S problem  Be Prepared for a Big Turnout - People throughout Pennsylvania recognize that litter is more than a nuisance. Litter is dangerous to people and animals, it is expensive to clean up, hurts property values, and erodes our sense of community pride.   Rain day or bad weather options.  We will clean if it's a drizzle, but heavy rain and thunder or snow with temperatures below 28 will cancel our plans for that day.  We postpone the Redd-up event to the following Saturday May 2nd, same time, same place same plan.
Small Steps lead to BIG Changes!

Together we can keep Carrick Clean!
