Carrick residents and friends:

Now that the holidays are upon us, please take some time to consider those of who are less fortunate. The Carrick Food Bank is in desperate need of monetary donations and volunteers to help make packages.

The Carrick Food Bank is seeing a large increase in Carrick families in need this year.  The need has increased to over 150 families, up from around 60-80 from previous years.  Many families have a large number of children who are in risk of not having a holiday meal.  The Carrick Food Bank is requesting assistance with time and or donations from anyone who can help.

Each family receives a package for breakfast, lunch, snacks, frozen foods, and health and beauty. In total, that is over 750 packages a month. This holiday season they are specifically looking for holiday fixings and including ham and turkey vouchers (available at local super markets).

Monetary donations can be sent to:

Zion Christian Church
2019 Brownsville Rd.

Please indicate on checks “Food Bank”
